This catalogue deals with the gods and goddesses which were a feature of Anatolian civilizations between the years 7000 BC and AD 400, and which are a reflection of the beliefs and art of ancient peoples. Many peoples, civilizitions and cultures have given different names to the same prototype, namely the Mother Goddess figure which traces its roots back to the early Neolithic period in Anatolia.
