Matematicians, Astronomers and Other Scholars of Islamic Civilization and Their Works (7th - 19 th centuries.) aims to provide biobibliographical information on mathematicians, asronomers, geographers and other scholars of Islamic civilization who lived in Asia, Africa and Europe between the 7th and 19th centuries. During this time, the countries that these scholars lived in were united by Islamic religion and civilization, with Arabic as the common language of science. The work is based on earlier publications and newly discovered sources and comprises the names of 1423 authors whose time of life is known and 288 authors whose time of life is unknown. It is hoped that this book will be the tool that will help researchers orient themselves with the vast amount of manuscripts and numerous works of reference in Arabic and other languages.
