This booklet contains the story of a most interesting experiment in journalism. The daily "Vatan" established in 1923, suspended arbitrarily in 1925 by the dictorial regime, reassumed its publication on August 19, 1940, is celebrating now the tenth anniversary of its second period of existence.
We relate here the story of the ordeals it had to go through, the development it succeeded in attaining in spite of the handicaps, and the aims it kept fighting for. After that we offer samples of the stand taken by the paper in various international and national issuse.(Foreword)
